Believe it or not, there is such a thing as a scalp massager for hair growth. Hearing that you might think that we’re talking about some fancy product name or that the massaging requires some ingenious and expensive device. But you’d be wrong. It is as simple as it sounds and you don’t need to spend a lot of money.
The question, is does this scalp massager for hair growth treatment work? Is it all that the “experts” claim it is?
Scalp Massager for Hair Growth
We have covered a lot of hair growth treatments here on You-Reviews. They range from the sensible to the bizarre. This one is definitely in the second group and is one of the most bizarre treatments. However, it is simple, it is easy and it might just work. If that’s the case then it stops being bizarre and starts being genius.
So, which one is it. Is scalp massager for hair growth a legitimate thing, or is just just one of many fads that doesn’t work and should be ignored in favor of something more reliable and more expensive?
How Does Scalp Massager for Hair Growth Work?
It does work. It might not be a miracle treatment, but the science is there and it all makes sense. Simply put, a scalp massage can help to increase the blood flow to the hair follicles. When this happens the follicles get more oxygen, they get more nutrients and they are allowed to perform as they should.
Hair nourishing vitamins can benefit from this as well. None of those will work if they can’t make it to your hair follicles. Your blood is the vehicle through which all of these vitamins (including Biotin and vitamin E) are transported. So, it only makes sense that the more access your follicles have to that blood, the more they will benefit.
How to Use Scalp Massage to Trigger Hair Growth
A scalp massage is simply that. You only need your hands—or rather someone else’s hands—and a little patience. The massage should be deep and relaxing, because the whole purpose of this is to stimulate hair growth. Just ask someone to massage your head for a few minutes at a time.
Massages are common. They are something that we all enjoy and something we probably have every now and then. But when was the last time you had a scalp massage? They’re rare, and thats a shame because it’s a great feeling. So, sit back, relax and let someone massage you into bliss. Not only will it feel fantastic, but it will also help to stimulate that blood flow and to give you the hair growth that you need.
Of course, it helps if they have oil on their hands to act as a lubricant. They don’t need to go overboard, but a few helpful oils will help to lubricate and to supply nutrients to the scalp. So, look to use some coconut oil, some castor oil or a combination made from a number of healthy oils, vitamins and minerals. By working this into the scalp you’re getting the stimulated blood flow and you’re also allowing that blood to soak up all of those essential vitamins and those healthy oils.
Electric Scalp Massager for Hair Growth
If you don’t have anyone to give you a head massage then you can buy an electronic scalp massage that will also work for hair growth. These can be bought in many beauty shops and have become very popular in recent years. It seems that someone caught on to how great it feels to have a head massage and they are now selling these gadgets by the millions.
They are often sold as a novelty, something that is a little fun and something that can make you feel good for a few minutes. But they work just as well as having someone massage you with their hands. You may not benefit from the additional application of oils and vitamins, but you will benefit from the stimulation and the increased blood flow.
You can also go ahead and still create that vitamin/oil concoction, work this into your hair yourself and then apply the electric scalp massager for hair growth.
How Often Should I Massage my Scalp for Hair Growth?
You can do this every day, but you don’t need to. A couple of times a week will suffice to get your blood flowing and to help with hair growth. The more of a problem this is, the more you should look to do it and the more you should massage each time. Any amount of massaging will suffice though so do what you can.
Try not to overdo it as well an try not to be too rough with the hair. If you are applying a lot of pressure to the scalp and you’re also pulling and twisting the hair, then you could be doing more damage to it. Stress and pressure like this is one of the major causes of hair loss.
So, take it easy, do as much as you can and don’t get too worried about any kind of cycle.
Scalp Massager for Hair Growth: Results
This really does work. We have tried it ourselves and we can vouch for that, at least to an extent. The truth is, it’s hard to judge. We asked a couple of our staff to massage their head for a few minutes a day and to do this over the course of several weeks. At the time they were taking many hair vitamins, and the hope was that the massaging would allow for this to be better transported around the body.
They both reported to having better hair growth after two weeks of massaging with vitamins than they had after consuming vitamins for 2 weeks without massaging. The difference wasn’t great and we only took their word for it, so there might be some kind of placebo effect at play. However, it doesn’t hurt to try. At worst you’ll just have a relaxing massage or two and will have some oils to wash out of your hair every now and then.
Considering how beneficial and healthy this could be if it works, that’s not a bad trade off. So, try a scalp massage for hair growth yourself and let us know how you get on.
